Collection: Arne Vilhelm Tellefsen / VLEK
VLEK, also known as Arne Vilhelm Tellefsen (b. 1967, Norway), is a Norwegian artist, social entrepreneur, curator, and producer.
After many years working within urban art, creative rehabilitation, and art dissemination, he was invited to give a lecture in 2018 and contribute as an artist at the NuArt Festival from 2019 to 2021. He is recognized as one of the founders of the street art festival "KRS Gadekunst" and has continued to curate and expand the street gallery in his hometown of Kristiansand.
Arne Vilhelm began painting in the streets in the mid-1980s. Visual art and its role in society is clearly a passion for him. After 20 years as a copywriter and teacher, he decided to turn his personal passion into a lifestyle. His artworks are characterized by a strong focus on the concept and placement of the piece. He often involves the people around him in the creation process, engaging neighbors, students, and friends in the production of his works.
Arne Vilhelm has collaborated closely with prominent artists such as DOT DOT DOT, Isaac Cordal, NeSpoon, Bordalo II, Mark Jenkins, Liqen, Stayone COD, Erik Ness Christensen, and others. He has painted several murals and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Norway and abroad.
