Eva Hansen Sjøvold

I am interested in the androgynous and the intimate, and I experiment a lot with form language in relation to this. The people I paint are those I have a close relationship with, and I work with portraiture in an extended form.

With my paintings, I aim to create a space where the viewer feels a closeness to the subject and a particular mood. My inspiration comes from my connections to myself, others, and the subcultural environment I am part of.
