Collection: Morten Kveen
For many years, Morten was a central figure in the snowboarding community in the Lillehammer area. In 2017, he sustained a knee injury while snowboarding, which required surgery. During this transitional period, he relocated to Oslo and rediscovered his passion for drawing and painting.
Morten has achieved notable success with solo exhibitions in Lillehammer, Fredrikstad, and Oslo. Additionally, he operated his own studio within the Rebell Collective's premises in Fredrikstad, where he collaborated on projects ranging from eco-friendly art products to large-scale murals.
With a distinctive style that merges the raw energy of traditional sailor tattoos with the intuitive creativity of childhood art, Kveen invites us into a world where intricate linework, vivid colors, and complex compositions create a perfect balance between chaos and order.
Breaking Boundaries: Norway’s First and Largest Art Installation in a Ski Resort
Morten made history by creating Norway’s first and largest art installation in a ski resort—an expansive mural located at Mosetertoppen in Hafjell Alpinsenter. Spanning nearly 300 square meters and painted entirely by hand with a brush, the artwork is a vivid portrayal of the ski resort throughout summer and winter. Given complete artistic freedom, Morten transformed an otherwise mundane lift garage into an inspiring and visually stunning masterpiece.
