Collection: RabL

Rabl (b. 1981) grew up as a creative and hyperactive soul. At the age of 13, in 1994, he discovered graffiti and became completely hooked. It didn't take long before he became adept with a spray can. After some practice on a secluded wall, he began painting along train and subway lines, highways, and on NSB’s carriages. Along the way, he transitioned from Drawing/Form/Color to Advertising/Illustration/Design, and further into web design and interior design.

He made trips to Copenhagen to paint the famous S-trains, while also focusing more on creating well-executed productions rather than bombing and quick pieces. This evolved into painting party buses, children's rooms, and other commissioned works, until it came to a halt in 2003. At that point, Rabl was done with the criminal environment and tired of graffiti. He took a step further into interior design, engaging in everything from styling to project planning, concept development, and teaching.

Meanwhile, he established a conventional life with a wife, house, station wagon, and two children before rediscovering the spray can in 2019. Since then, it’s been full speed ahead with graffiti and a municipal job in street art. He exhibited two collaborative works for the first time in 2023, and since then, his passion has led him in this direction. Rabl has an eye for unique color combinations and experiments with textures and materials. It is the process of play and exploration that takes center stage when he composes his artworks.
