A man who has lost himself—or perhaps found himself in the worst possible way.
This artwork captures Kanye West in a moment of total control, where he is quite literally measuring and shaping his wife to resemble his famous ex, Kim Kardashian. For years, she has been his accessory, a silent shadow, gradually transforming into the woman he cannot let go of.
The t-shirt he wears is from his controversial Super Bowl stunt—a reference to the ad that directed viewers to his website, where the only item for sale was a t-shirt featuring a swastika, a symbol he has been seen wearing multiple times.
Using a blend of colors, charcoal, and acrylic, Bjerkis highlights the absurdity and darkness of this scene: a man who repeatedly proves that power, money, ego, and obsession go hand in hand.
